Prenatal and post natal clients are welcome in personalised sessions at any stage, as all clients in these sessions are working through their own unique programs.  There is a prerequisite of a 1:1 Pilates before joining these sessions.

A single 1:1 Personalised Session with one of Armature’s expert instructors is also a great way to transition into group classes as a pregnant client. This session covers go-to position modifications for when class activity may be in a position unsuitable for pregnancy. This makes it easy for pregnant clients to self-modify in Reformer Basics classes.

Both the Pilates Instructors and Strength Coaches take 1:1 sessions. A complimentary group class credit is included with all 1:1 sessions.

Strength Training classes (both the Basics and Open) welcome pregnant clients. All the Armature Strength coaches are well-versed in prenatal modifications for Strength Training. These classes are a great option (often better than the Reformer classes, especially in later stages) as most exercises are already upright or in pregnancy-friendly positions and focus on things that prenatal clients need – upper body and hip strength!

Pregnant clients are welcome to do a 1:1 Strength Training session before starting the Strength Training group classes.

A class for post-birth, these mat classes are bub friendly. Bring a rug or a mat for the babies and do your own workout. The classes are mat based and exercises are tailored to where participants are at in their post partum journey.  Pilates Mat – Bub Friendly classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10.30am, at Armature HQ.

Prenatal clients can attend all the classes in the Pilates/Yoga stream. These happen at Armature HQ and include Pilates Mat Open, Pilates Springboard, Pilates Strength, Release & Restore and Yoga Slow Flow. Instructors will adapt positions for prenatal clients in these sessions.

If already comfortable with the reformer group class format, prenatal clients (post-16 weeks) are welcome to attend Reformer Basics. There are many of these sessions on the Armature Reformer timetable. Basics is the only group reformer class that is pregnancy friendly post 16-weeks. This is no reflection on the skill/ability of the prenatal clients, it is simply so that necessary modifications can be made easily and not affect the flow of the group.
